Senior year is all about soaking in those last moments of high school, looking forward to the future, and of course, capturing the experience in unforgettable senior portraits. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Asher, a senior at Wellington School in Columbus, Ohio, with big goals and a clear vision for his future.

I had a chance to have a quick phone call with him to chat about his senior year, portrait session and exciting future! I asked him what was most exciting about senior year and he was buzzing with excitement abou the perks of being a senior at Wellington School. From special privileges to a sense of VIP treatment, he’s fully embracing this final chapter. But what truly excites him is what's on the horizon: getting into college. His dream? William & Mary College in Virginia, a place rich in history with a pre-law program he’s passionate about.

For Asher, family is everything. When asked about his biggest inspirations, he didn’t hesitate—his parents are his ultimate role models. His mom inspires him with her intelligence, kindness, and the way she treats others, something he strives to embody himself. His dad? He’s the source of Asher’s work ethic and strong character, showing him what it means to work hard and carry yourself with pride.

When we talked bucket lists, college was definitely at the top, along with his upcoming soccer tournament that he's gearing up for! Soccer is a major part of his life right now, and it’s clear that his love for the game and his team are driving forces during this busy time. And speaking of soccer, when it came to his senior portrait session, there was one part that stood out above the rest—his time on the soccer field, wearing a suit, and posing with his dog, Brooklyn. Even though he started the session feeling a bit reluctant, he admitted that this was hands down his favorite part.

I really enjoyed my time working with Asher. He was engaging and talkative at his session and on our short call recently! I appreciate that he is not only focused on achieving his dreams but also rooted in family and the things that matter most to him. I have no doubt that whatever direction he chooses, he will be successful! This session truly captured his personality, his passions, and the beginning of what’s sure to be an exciting journey ahead.
