FAQ: What should I expect during my senior portrait experience?

Your senior portrait session is fully guided from start to finish. We start with a consultation to plan locations, outfits, and the overall vision, then shoot during the most gorgeous golden light for modern, editorial-style images. I help with posing, expression, and styling throughout the session—so you never have to wonder what to do. About a week later, you’ll come to my studio to view your images and choose how you want to enjoy your favorites. Choose outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable. Solid colors and minimal patterns always photograph best. Most seniors book their senior pictures during summer, which is the MOST popular and books EARLY! The days are long and your busy school schedule doesn't interfere. Seniors start getting on the calendar as early as January. As a modern senior portrait photographer in Columbus, Ohio, I typically open my calendar in early January and those dates fill quickly! Booking early guarantees you get your preferred month, the perfect golden-hour light, and plenty of time to enjoy the full experience before senior-year chaos kicks in. 

You’ll see your senior photos about a week after your session at your reveal appointment in my Dublin studio. This is my favorite part. You’ll get to sit back, see your images larger than life, and decide how you’d love to enjoy them. Whether it’s an album, wall art, or prints, it’s the perfect way to celebrate your senior year.

I offer both! Most seniors choose albums, wall art, and loose prints, and every purchased image includes the matching digital file. That way you get the best of both worlds, heirloom pieces for your home and digital images to share online. It’s about creating keepsakes that last while still giving you the instant shareable version.

If bad weather hits, we’ll either move your session earlier or reschedule. Flexibility is key in unpredictable Ohio. Around here, the weather can change in a heartbeat.
