I’ve been photographing Van’s family for years, so when it was finally his turn for senior portraits, I knew we were about to create something incredible.

But getting there wasn’t easy. Between Van’s intense football schedule and Ohio’s unpredictable weather (thanks, dry summer!), locking in a date felt like scoring a last-second touchdown. Thankfully, fall finally delivered its best colors, and Van showed up ready to make the most of it!

First Stop: Fall’s Rugged Charm 

Van wanted a rugged, outdoorsy setting for part of his senior session—think classic autumn woods with rich colors and golden light. We found the perfect secluded spot in Dublin where the leaves were glowing, and it was game on! Van kept it cool and confident with his first outfit, embracing a relaxed, authentic look. 

Switching It Up: Modern Sophistication at Bridge Park 

Then came the curveball—Van also wanted to wear a bold blue suit. As much as I love a challenge, I couldn’t picture that suit working in the middle of the woods. So, I suggested we finish his session at Bridge Park, where modern architecture and city lights could bring out a totally different side of his style. He was all in—and WOW, did it pay off!

That blue suit was made for the sleek, urban setting. Clean lines, cool concrete textures, and glowing streetlights turned every photo into something straight out of a fashion editorial. It was the perfect combination—rugged outdoors and polished city style.
