When I say this session was a dream, I mean every bit of it. Amy’s senior session took place at one of Columbus Ohio’s most hidden (and gorgeous) gems, and wow did it deliver.

From a tucked-away waterfall to golden fields of wildflowers, the location was pure magic. Add in one high-energy, free-spirited senior? You’ve got a session that was unforgettable from start to finish.

Hair and Makeup to Set the Vibe

Before we stepped foot into nature’s playground, Amy started her day with hair and makeup at PENZONE Salon in Dublin. It’s one of my go-to spots for seniors because they always get it just right. Natural, age-appropriate, and celebrity-level glam? Check. Amy looked and felt like a total star heading into her shoot.

A Hidden Portrait Location That Delivered

This was my first time photographing at this location, and I was blown away. Waterfalls, ponds, open trails, and that perfect golden sunset? Yes please.

The best part? It matched Amy’s energy perfectly. She was lighthearted, full of fun, and maybe (just maybe) testing to see if I could keep up with her pace. Spoiler alert: I did.

We explored every inch of this spot—wading through shallow water, finding floral pockets for soft portraits, and chasing light like pros. It was totally her vibe and so much fun to capture.
