What is included in a senior portrait session with Claudine Kosier Photography?

Every session includes a pre-session planning consultation, fully guided posing and styling throughout the shoot, and an in-person image reveal appointment at our Dublin, Ohio studio approximately one week after your session. At the reveal you'll choose your favorites and select products including wall art, albums, prints, and digital files.

Do you offer wall art and albums?

Yes. Most clients choose a combination of wall art, albums, and loose prints. Every purchased image also includes the matching digital file so you get heirloom pieces for your home and shareable digital images. We offer a full product line at your in-person ordering session.

Where are senior portrait sessions located?

Sessions take place on location throughout Columbus and Central Ohio including Dublin, Powell, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Westerville, and Worthington. Claudine scouts and selects locations that match your senior's personality and style.

When should I book my senior portraits?

Summer is the most popular time and books early. Most seniors get on the calendar as early as January for summer sessions. Limited spots are available for fall. Contact us to check current availability.

Do you photograph senior guys as well as senior girls?

Absolutely. Claudine Kosier Photography specializes in senior portraits for both guys and girls. Senior guys sessions are relaxed, bold, and editorial — no stiff posing, just real personality captured with style.

Maya's Senior Portraits at Quarry Trails Metro Park - Columbus Ohio Senior Photographer

Quarry Trails is basically my backyard at this point, I shoot there constantly, and I still was not ready for what the falls were doing the day I met up with Maya. Pounding. Roaring. The kind of loud where you have to raise your voice to be heard over it. Add in a girl who brought some of the best outfits I've styled all year, a surprise dog cameo courtesy of her dad, and a full downpour nobody saw coming, and that's Maya's senior session. Her milestone year, and it did not go quietly.

The Session

Let's start with the water, because it's the first thing anyone's going to notice. I've shot at Quarry Trails more times than I can count and I have never seen it like this. Maya stood right in it in the prettiest white textured two-piece, and it turned an already great location into something that looked like it belonged in a magazine, not on a phone screen.

Her outfits did a lot of the work too. A denim vest and cream wide-legs with cowboy boots that felt effortlessly cool without trying too hard. A navy puff-sleeve dress out in the tall grass with total meadow-at-golden-hour energy. And a burgundy maxi she moved through like she'd been doing this her whole life. Four outfits, four completely different vibes, zero repeats. That's exactly what I want out of a session, not the same pose five times in five colors.

Then her dad showed up with her black lab and honestly, best move of the day. Nothing gets a senior to stop performing for the camera and actually relax like a dog showing up for the cutest photos together ever! We got some of my favorite frames of the whole session in those ten minutes. And then, because Ohio weather has never once asked permission, the sky opened up. Full downpour, zero warning. We grabbed the gear and ran for it, and once it passed, the light that came through was some of the most beautiful I've shot all year.

One Thing Worth Knowing

Keep an umbrella in your car. I'm serious. Central Ohio storms show up with almost no notice, Maya's did, and an umbrella buys you just enough time to get everyone and the gear covered before you have to call it.

Where is Quarry Trails Metro Park in Columbus, Ohio?
Quarry Trails Metro Park sits on Columbus's west side, close to Dublin and Hilliard, and it's one of the newer Metro Parks in the Central Ohio system. Between the water features, the open fields, and the elevation changes, it gives a senior session a lot of visual variety without having to change locations.

Can I bring my dog to my senior portrait session?
Yes. I love working a dog into the last part of a senior session, usually about 10 minutes at the end wherever we're already shooting. There's no separate location or dedicated handler needed, just bring your senior's dog along and we'll fold them in naturally once the rest of the session is done.

What happens if it rains during my senior's scheduled session?
Ohio weather changes fast, and storms can show up with almost no warning. I always recommend having an umbrella on hand, in the car or right in your bag, so we can keep shooting through a quick passing shower or get everyone covered fast if it turns into more. If it's a quick-moving system we usually wait it out and pick back up once it clears. If it looks like it's in for the long haul, we'll talk about rescheduling.

How many outfit changes does a senior portrait session include?
Most sessions include multiple outfit changes, which is part of what gives the final gallery range. Something polished, something casual, and something that just feels like your senior all lets the images tell a fuller story instead of five versions of the same look.
