Meet Isabella!! A senior from Newark Catholic. We recently shot her senior portrait session that perfectly captured her laid-back personality and love for swimming! We were originally planning on shooting at the conservatory, but after a super dry summer and checking out the spot, I realized it just wasn’t going to give us the look she was after. So, I suggested German Village instead, and after showing her and her mom some past sessions, they were all in! I just knew it would be the perfect backdrop for her.

We kicked things off exploring some of my favorite hidden gems in German Village, which always delivers the most picture-perfect backdrops in Columbus. Between the lush greenery, charming cobblestone streets, and all that unique architecture, we had endless options for stunning, timeless shots. Isabella was absolutely glowing after her hair and makeup session with Makeup by Tatum, and she was all in for capturing some amazing images.

While we captured some beautifully composed still shots, it was Isabella's natural energy and movement that really made the session shine. Whether she was strolling down the street or twirling in her dresses, her portraits were full of life, sunshine, and so many fun giggles!

After we wrapped up in German Village, we headed to St. Charles in Bexley for the grand finale—photos in the pool! Swimming is a huge part of Isabella’s life, so it was a must to capture that in her senior portraits. And honestly, with how warm it was, ending in the pool was the perfect way to finish the day!

Her stroke of choice? Breaststroke—talk about strength and endurance! I loved capturing these stunning images of her in the pool and something she is so passionate about. 

Senior portraits are all about telling your story, and Isabella's session did just that. From the stunning spots in German Village to the dynamic, fun energy of the pool, we truly showcased her passion for swimming and her calm, confident personality.
