Urban Senior Shoot in Downtown Columbus Ohio

LOOOOOVE this session with Mikey! I loved his styles that included a very stylish dressed up look paired with a few casual looks. He kept everything simple with a hint print but certainly nothing that takes away from him. Of course, our day was not without the insane weather shenanigans. Storming like crazy and we had a short window of time that we decided to head out and get it done. As we were finishing his session, the dark skies were rolling in. I asked him if we wanted to wrap, or hang out and wait for some killer skies. He wanted to wait. So worth it, but we were about a minute late before getting caught in a massive downpour. (and that is putting it very mildly!)

• Tell me about your Senior Session Day! What was the best part?
  It was great! I thoroughly enjoyed my session! My favorite part was our rush against the weather. Toward the end I feel like we got some amazing shots while under pressure of a heavy storm rolling in. Along with that it gave us a great opportunity to shoot with the dark skies.

• I know most guys are less than excited about a photo shoot? How were you feeling going into this? How did you feel after? Was it better than you thought?
  I was actually pretty excited. I was also nervous, both due to the weather and because of general nerves. I felt good about my outfits and prep so I was super excited to show them off and see how it would go. After, I felt great! When the photoshoot was done I felt like we got some amazing shots and I felt good about the poses and positioning for my photos. Then my photos were great too! It was better than I thought though, because while I was tired I was also excited and exhilarated afterwards.

• What was most important for you to get out of your shoot?
  A good experience and great photos!

• Tell me about your style! What inspired your outfit selections?
  I usually dress a bit nicer, at least for a high schooler. I most often wear jeans, t-shirts, and jackets in winter, and I wear Jean shorts and button up tees in the summer. For my outfits, I knew I wanted one dressier outfit so I decided on a dress shirt and blazer. While looking for these I found my dressy, tan jeans and matched accordingly! Next while searching for my next outfits I wasn't sure what kind of style I wanted but then I found my coat in my second outfit. I loved it immediately and then searched for the right shirt to match, I decided that black jeans were my pant choice and decided on more color in my shirt, two down. At this point I knew I wanted three outfits to mix things up, but I wasn't sure what I wanted to go with. Eventually, I decided that I wanted a more casual outfit to go with my two more "put together" outfits. I then found my last outfit's t-shirt and knew I wanted it for my shoot. When finding shoes after I was dead set on my shoe choice for each. When I found my brown and black shoes I knew they would match perfectly with both my dressed up outfit and my casual. To this day those are one of my favorite pairs of shoes!

• What was your all time favorite photo?
  My favorite photo in my collection is photo 39! It is of me crouched by these cool, gold doors!

• Would your parent like to add any comments about your session day?
  The weather didn't look like it was going to cooperate for the day but we wanted to try to keep our date. Claudine was so great and kept a lookout on the weather throughout the day and was open to make a mad dash to the location if it cleared up. Luckily, there was a small window and we were able to get our shoot in! She took her time to make sure we were able to get some fabulous photos. We found some fun spots to take photos we didn't even know about and they ended up being our favorites. This was our second time using Claudine and this session was just as great as the first. Mikey has some awesome pictures to show off and we couldn't be happier!

• What drew you to Claudine Kosier Photography?
  My brother got his pictures from here and I loved them! I wanted mine to be just as good!

• What are your future plans for after high school?
  I am planning on going to college for Music Education and becoming a Music teacher!

• Have you picked a college yet? Where are you headed?
  I have not picked a college yet.
