Meet Alayna! She is one of my amazing seniors from Class of 2023 and this is her senior session. We shot in Downtown Worthington and captured the most beautiful images of her. Downtown Worthington is known for its picturesque streets and historic charm. It provides the perfect backdrop for capturing the essence of a beautiful senior girl embarking on a new chapter in her life.

We had a bit of wind to contend with that day, but she was a trooper and we worked with it! She started her day with with some gorgeous pampering with my makeup artist Tatum. Naturally, she gave her an incredible natural look with just enough to make her features pop on camera. This was actually the favorite part of her day! Getting her hair and makeup done and then working with the different location choices that paired perfectly with her outfits. I remember her struggling with her last outfit and was hesitant on the images in the green top. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would photograph beautifully especially the area of our shoot that I had picked out for her. They ended up exactly as I had imagined-so so pretty and definitely some of my favs from her entire session.

Her mom was there to keep everything in check for me. I keep my moms so busy between fixing flyaway hairs, to making sure outfits are just right, and even holding lights ect for me. My moms might be busier than myself-lol.

Alayna felt the same going into her session that literally every client feels - nervous they will not like their images, awkward about posing and just overall they feel like their images will not stand out like others on my site. Well clearly that wasn't the case, because her session is drop dead stunning!

"I was afraid of looking weird and uncomfortable. But at the end, I really loved how you took my photos, and found the poses I would feel most comfortable in. At first, I was really uncomfortable and stiff. But when I put my first outfit on, and went to my first location. I just felt relaxed and it naturally came to me. Claudine was a big help with directing me into the poses that show my best angle."

Alayna really wanted modern, but trendy looking photos. I photographed her sister several year ago and she fell in love with her sister's photos so she was excited to have the same opportunity - but we made sure to make it her own!

I asked Alayna to share something really awesome about her: "As I’m Growing up and finally graduating from high school. I'm growing a love with majoring into childhood education, and later on to become a Speech Pathologist, where I can work with kids and help them."

Some of the best advice she's ever received? "No matter how hard life gets, keep going. And always be kind to yourself no matter what your going through." I love this advice and I hope you hold on to it for a lifetime!
