Golden Autumn Woods Session | Columbus Senior Portraits

There is nothing I love more than a person with a vision. When Bailey’s mom reached out to get the ball rolling for senior portraits, she had the ultimate goal in mind. She wanted to capture Bailey during the absolute peak of Ohio’s autumn glow, and we even got to shoot right on her birthday!

When I finally met Bailey at our planning session, it was an instant connection. She is a big-time planner!! Whoo Hoo, my soul girl!! We dove straight into the details, mapping out outfits and scouting the perfect spots to make sure every single frame was exactly what she dreamed of for this milestone.

Killing the Camera Nerves

Even with a flawless plan and the most stunning woods as our backdrop, Bailey was like so many of my seniors. She just was not comfortable being in pictures. She mentioned feeling a little shy about posing, but I told her the same thing I tell everyone: it is not your job to be a pro model. That is my job to guide you!!

We kicked things off with the full VIP treatment. Bailey spent the earlier part of her session with my professional hair and makeup team, getting a look that was polished, glowing, and 100% her. It was incredibly natural and she loved it. By the time we stepped into those vibrant golden leaves, she was not just ready. She was radiating confidence.

I guided Bailey through every single movement and every giggle. We spent the afternoon exploring the woods and celebrating her senior year in the best way possible. Within minutes, the nerves were long gone, we were dress twirling and having an absolute blast.
